Please read this Privacy Policy carefully to understand how the Website will use the information you provide to the Website.

This Privacy Policy is published in accordance with the Information Technology (Intermediaries Guidelines) Rules, 2011 and Rule 3(1) of the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 which require publication of a privacy policy for collection, use, storage and transfer of sensitive personal data or information.

User consent

This Privacy Policy, which may be updated/amended from time to time, relates to information collected from its users such as personal identification, contact details, birth details and any predictions made using the information supplied and how such information is further used for the purposes of the Website. By accessing and using the Website, you indicate that you understand the terms and expressly consent to the Privacy Policy of this Website. If you do not agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not use this Website.

Your continued use of this website will confirm that you have provided your unconditional consent and confirm the terms of this Privacy Policy in relation to the collection, retention, use, processing and disclosure of your personal and other information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Collection of personal information

Creating a user profile with kundlivala involves providing specific information. Mandatory details include your phone number for OTP (One-Time Password) verification, which is necessary to ensure the security and validity of the registration process. Additionally, it is optional to provide your first name, last name, and date of birth (DOB). The date of birth is not mandatory to provide during the registration process.

Purpose and use of data/information collection

By collecting this information, kundlivala aims to create a personalized user profile that can meet your specific needs and preferences. However, if you choose not to provide your date of birth, it will not hinder the registration process, and you can still access the services offered by kundlivala with your verified phone number.

Categories of data we collect

Depending on the services you use, KundliVala (website and apps) collects and processes the following categories of data:

• •Account data: name, phone number, email address, password (stored hashed), gender, profile photo and language preference.
• •Age group: a broad self-declared age band (Under 13, 13–15, 16–17, or 18 or over) collected once through a neutral age gate at first launch to keep the app safe and compliant with app-store requirements. We store only the selected band — not a fabricated date of birth. Users under 13 are not permitted to create an account or use the app. Paid consultation, wallet/recharge/payment and direct-communication features are available only to users who declare they are 18 or over.
• •Birth details: date of birth, time of birth and place of birth, provided by you for kundli, horoscope, panchang and consultation services.
• •Consultation data: chat messages, voice notes and call audio (including consultation recordings used for quality and dispute resolution), video report requests and delivered video/media, and live session interactions (comments, gifts).
• •Wallet and payment data: wallet balance, recharge and transaction history, and payment references. Card/UPI credentials used for recharges are entered directly on our payment provider (Razorpay) and are not stored by KundliVala. For astrologers, we do collect and store bank account details (account number, IFSC, account holder name and/or UPI ID) provided by the astrologer for the purpose of processing earnings payouts. Astrologer payouts are automatic: net payable earnings (after platform commission, payment gateway fees, TDS and other statutory deductions) are transferred to the astrologer's verified bank account between the 5th and 10th of every month; there is no on-demand withdrawal facility.
• •Astrologer verification (KYC) data: for astrologers registering on the platform, we collect identity and professional verification documents and details, which may include government-issued identity proof (such as Aadhaar or PAN), photographs, qualification or experience details, and the bank/payout details described above. This information is classified as sensitive personal data and is used solely for identity verification, regulatory compliance, payout processing and fraud prevention.
• •Call and consultation metadata: call logs and technical metadata such as call type (chat/voice/video/live), start and end times, duration, connection and call-quality metrics, billing rate applied and amounts charged, and queue/booking details. This metadata is used for billing, dispute resolution, service quality monitoring and fraud prevention.
• •Device and notification data: device identifiers and Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) push notification tokens, used to deliver call alerts and notifications.
• •Audio and media uploads: voice notes, images and other files you upload in chats, consultations or your profile.
• •Location and place data: the city/place you provide for kundli, panchang and other astrology tools, and (only with your permission) device location used to improve service relevance.

Age eligibility and minors

KundliVala is intended for users aged 13 and above. At first launch, before signup or login, we ask you to confirm your age group through a neutral age gate and store only the selected band. If you indicate you are under 13, you are not permitted to create an account or use the app.

Users who indicate they are between 13 and 17 may browse general astrology content, but paid consultation, wallet/recharge/payment and direct-communication features (paid chat, paid voice call, paid video report, direct astrologer consultation, live call requests and gifting) are restricted and available only to users who declare they are 18 or over. These restrictions are enforced both in the app and on our servers. We do not knowingly collect unnecessary personal data from minors, and we do not serve advertising or behavioral tracking to any user.

Data sharing with third parties

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share data only with service providers needed to run the platform:

• •Razorpay and payment providers: payment and transaction data required to process wallet recharges and refunds.
• •Google Firebase / FCM and cloud services: device tokens and notification payloads required to deliver push notifications, and cloud hosting/storage providers that store our data and uploaded media.
• •Law enforcement or courts where disclosure is required by applicable law.

Data retention periods

We retain personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy or as required by law. Unless a longer period is required by applicable law, a legal order, or an open dispute or investigation, we apply the following retention periods:

• •Account and profile data: retained while your account is active, and deleted or anonymized within 30 days of your account deletion request being processed.
• •Consultation content (chat messages, voice notes, uploaded media): retained while your account is active; deleted or anonymized on account deletion, except records needed for an open refund claim, chargeback or dispute, which are retained until the matter is resolved and for up to 90 days thereafter.
• •Call recordings used for quality audit and dispute resolution: retained for up to 90 days from the date of the consultation, after which they are deleted unless required for an open dispute or a legal obligation.
• •Call and consultation metadata and billing records: retained for up to 8 years, in line with tax, accounting and record-keeping requirements under Indian law.
• •Payment, wallet and transaction records, invoices and refund records: retained for up to 8 years as required by applicable tax and accounting law (including the Companies Act, 2013 and Income-tax Act, 1961).
• •Astrologer KYC and payout records: retained while the astrologer account is active and for up to 5 years after account closure, for regulatory compliance, tax and fraud-prevention purposes.
• •Device tokens and notification identifiers: deleted on logout, token expiry, or account deletion, whichever is earlier.
• •Server logs and technical/security logs (including IP addresses): retained for up to 180 days for security, troubleshooting and legal compliance (including under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and directions of CERT-In), then deleted or anonymized.

Where data cannot be deleted immediately (for example, in system backups), it is isolated from active use and deleted in the ordinary backup rotation cycle.

Deleting data

Delete Profile: If you want to delete your entire Kundlivala profile, including personal information associated with it, open the app and go to Profile / Settings > Account > Delete Account, then follow the instructions to submit an account deletion request. You may also request deletion by emailing Support@kundlivala.com or via WhatsApp at https://wa.me/919255642786. Deletion requests are processed within 7–30 days. Certain records (payment transactions, invoices, consultation records) may be retained where required for legal, tax, accounting or fraud-prevention purposes. Voice recording and microphone permission

In our app, we've implemented a unique and convenient way for you to ask questions and interact with us in our chat — by recording your voice as audio. Instead of typing your questions, you also have the option to simply speak into your device's microphone, record the voice as audio, and then send it to the chat. This audio interaction feature is designed to make using our app more intuitive and consistent with natural communication.

To enable you to record your questions and ideas as audio in your own voice, we need to request access to your device's microphone. When you grant us this permission, it allows our app to capture the sound of your voice as audio and convert it into digital data that we can process.

Commitment

The website intends to protect the privacy of all types of users visiting the platform, regardless of whether the user is a registered user or merely a visitor. Every user is advised to understand what type of personally identifiable information is collected. The website uses personally identifiable information for certain predictions, however, it is guaranteed that such information revealed in a prediction for a member will not be used directly or indirectly, except for the express purpose of communicating horoscope charts and predictions to the member disclosing such information. It is further clarified that the website does not in any way deal with selling or renting the information provided to the website.

The Website is not committed to providing treatment or solutions to users with impaired mental health, including any users who have thoughts of committing suicide, self-destruction, etc. Such users are advised to discontinue their current use of the Website with immediate effect and any continued use of the Website by such a person will be entirely at the user's own risk and the Website will not be responsible for any untoward incident that may occur in such a situation. The Website declares that the information provided by such users may be shared with law enforcement authorities, if required. Such information is not protected by any form of non-disclosure or confidentiality agreements either with the Website or with any third parties involved.

The website is in no way committed to the accuracy of the predictions made by astrologers to any user. The website does not undertake any guarantee/responsibility/liability regarding the reliability or genuineness of the gemstones and other related items displayed and sold on the website. The website further declares that no warranty is provided by the website on such service in any manner whatsoever.

Information collected by the website

Personally Identifiable Information: When the information collected identifies a specific end user, the information qualifies as personal in nature. Such information will be collected by the website during the following actions:

• •Account Creation/Registration Data: While accessing the Website, the User may be required to create an account. • •Booking a Paid Service: When booking a Service through the Order Form, the personal information requested may include financial information, including bank account information, credit card or debit card details or other payment instrument details via a secure third-party gateway, IP address, and any other information the User may provide when booking a Paid Service.
